Justin Long - October Male Athlete of the Month for the T-Birds!!

Justin Long is our T-Bird male athlete of the month for October. Long, who is the son of David and Jennifer Long from Carlsbad, NM graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2017 and is in his sophomore season with the T-bird Rodeo team. Some of his accomplishments are two top 15 finishes this fall in the tie-down roping. The first was a 13th place finish at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX and the more recent success was in Lubbock, TX Oct. 31-Nov. 2 where Justin topped the field of 92 tie down ropers with a smoking 7.6 second run in the long round. Long would go on to finish 5th in the average at the rodeo and collect 100 points towards qualifying for the college National finals in Casper, Wyoming in June.
