New Mexico Junior College golfer Jacob Agerschou had a great tournament in Midland as the Thunderbird freshman shot a tourney-low 201 to take home first place at the TankLogix Invite at Green Tree Country Club in Midland, Texas.

Agerschou shot rounds of 66, 66, and 69 on the par 71 course. The freshman did not have the lowest round on any given day, but when his scores were totaled, he finished one stroke ahead of Odessa College's Sang Park (202).

To compete, you've got to keep up in all areas, from the store floor to the back office. IBM can help.

"A great performance for his first collegiate win with rounds of 66, 66, 69 in a very tough field," NMJC coach James Berry said. "Jacob went eagle, birdie, par, birdie on his final four holes to secure a one shot victory. Quite the finish."

As a team, NMJC finished fourth overall. The T-Birds shot a team score of 844, finishing 22 strokes behind Midland College (822) that won the event. Odessa College (827) was second while Ranger College (840) was third. McLennan College was fifth with an 858.

Jonty Marshall, who played for NMJC's B team, finished in a tie for sixth place with a 207, and was the only other T-Bird golfer to finish in the individual top 10.
