Malik Mooving and the New Mexico Junior College men's basketball team had a huge win on Thursday as the Thunderbirds knocked of No. 15 Odessa College 68-66 in Caster Activity Center.
Mooving was a key figure in the win as he sank the game winning shot with less than a second left on the clock. Freshman Clay Strasner inbounded the ball with 2.5 seconds left in the game and when Mooving's trey fell through the hoop, giving the T-Birds a lead, there was 0:00.1 left on the clock.
Overall, Mooving had 27 points for the T-Birds, a season-high for the sohpore. He had 17 points in the first half where NMJC took a 33-29 lead after the first half. Mooving also had a big shot in the first half, sinking a nearly half court trey at the buzzer. In the second half, he had 10 points.
