DeLinte, Schmidt, Lee, and Salter Make it Back to SRSU Rodeo Short Go

               Sul Ross State University, Alpine, TX was host for the last of five Fall 2017 NIRA/SWR Rodeo's this past weekend. NMJC Rodeo had four team members qualify in the long go round in two events team roping and bull riding. In team roping it was the NMJC duo of Logan Delinte (header) and Kagen Schmidt (heeler), Swaize Lee (header) and her partner from Cisco College Lafe Allen (heeler), and in bull riding Hunter Salter.

                Team ropers Delinte and Schmidt split 4th/6th in the long go with the time of 7.4 sec, placed 4th in the long go with the time of 13.1 sec. and finished 4th in the average with the accumulative time of 20.5 sec. on two steers.

                 Swaize Lee and her team-roping partner Lafe Allen were 7.0 sec. in the long go placing 3rd, they had a No Time in the long go, but stilled to managed to finish 6th in the average.

                  Hunter Salter, NMJC's lone bull rider, won the long go round with the score of 81 points, but he was bucked off in the short go taking him out of the average.

                  It is back to the practice pen and hitting the books to finish the Fall semester for the NMJC Rodeo Team members. Next up for the NMJC Rodeo, will be the Odessa College Rodeo in February.
