NMJC’s Tyce McLeod Wins Second in Average TD Roping at TSU

 

 

 

              Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX was host for the last SWR/NIRA this 2017-18 season. Tyce McLeod was the only NMJC Rodeo Team member to make it back for the short round last Saturday evening.  In tie down roping Tyce placed 5th in the long go round with the time of 9.9 sec. In the short go Tyce put the heat on the top 4 tie down ropers by tying his calf in 8.9 sec. winning the short go, but his accumulated time of 18.8 sec. on two calves, placed him second in the average just 0.1 sec. from having a tie with calf roper Kyle Parrish from TSU.

 

               This completes the season for NMJC under the guidance of first year coaches Clay Bonner and Stewart Kinley. NMJC's Men's team finished 9th   out of 17 colleges/universities in the and the NMJC Women's team finished 11th. Now it time for the coaches to make a big push in recruiting for the 2018-19 SWR/NIRA season.
