NMJC's Tee McLeod Wins Steer Wrestling at Sul Ross Rodeo

 

              Tee McLeod, sophomore, won the Sul Ross State University steer wrestling title this past weekend in Alpine, TX. The SRSU Rodeo was the second of five NIRA/SWR Rodeos. Other NMJC Rodeo Team members making it back to the short go was Casey Olsen and Luke Skocodpole in steer wrestling as well.

 

                Tee placed second in the long go of steer wrestling with the time of 4.5 sec, and came back in the short go to place first with the time of 4.0 sec., which allowed him to finish first in the average with the time of 8.5 sec. on two steers.

 

                Casey Olsen, freshmen finished in 8th place in the long go of steer wrestling with the time of 5.3 sec. but had a NO Time in the short go taking him pout of the average. Sophomore Luke Skocodpole placed ninth in the long go of steer wrestling with the time of 5.4 sec., but had a NO Time in the short go taking him out of the average as well.

 

 

 

                The NMJC Men's team finished in 9th place overall out of sixteen teams for the SRSU Rodeo with 170 points and the women's team didn't score any points.

 

 

 

                NMJC Rodeo travel to the Vernon College Rodeo in Vernon, TX, this coming Tuesday thru Saturday, October 4th-6th, 2018.
