NMJC Freshman Danna Grenald Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Nov. 7-13)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of November 7-13.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Danna Grenald of New Mexico Junior College.

The 6-2 freshman forward from Honduras averaged 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds in three games played last week. She also added 8 steals and 4 assists and recorded a double-double in a win over Panola.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Mersadez Nephew of McLennan Community College.

The 5-7 sophomore guard from Willis, TX went 4-9 from the field, 4-6 from 3-point range and 7-8 from the free throw line for 19 points in Highlassies' 81-74 loss at Blinn; 3-6 from the field, 2-5 from 3-point range and 5-6 from the free throw line for 13 points in Highlassies' 78-69 win at Coastal Bend.
