T-Birds Beat Community Christian by 100

The T-Birds won their last game of the Estacado Credit Union Thunderbird Classic today against Community Christian with a final score of 127-23. 

Lead scorer in the first half for the T-Birds was sophomore Delma Zita with 24 points, 6 steals and 4 assists followed by sophomore Cabria Lewis who put up 17 points. 

The T-Birds gained 22 points from fast breaks alone and held over a 50 point lead at the end of the first half against the Saints, going into the second half ahead 72-14. 

T-Birds maintained thier lead on the Saints throughout the second half scoring 23 points in the third quarter and 32 in the fourth. Delma Zita finished the game with 32 points, 9 steals, and 9 assists while Cabria Lewis finished with 24 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. Other T-Birds scoring double digits were freshman Danna Grenald and sophomore Precious Cowan with 15 points each along with sophomores Madina Camara and Mariama Sow with 13 points each. 

T-Birds ended the game with a final score of 127-23.
