T-Birds Continue to Improve at Texas Tech Meet

School Records: 2 (Victoria Villanueva- Pole Vault and Kristal Liburd- Long Jump)

Notes: The T-Birds continued the 2019 season back in Lubbock for the Texas Tech Open. Kristal Liburd had a big day winning the Long Jump with a jump of 20'7 ¾". This jump is a new school record as well as the top jump of the weekend for all divisions (NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA).

Also setting a school record was Victoria Villanueva in the pole vault. She bettered the record jump from last week by going 12'10 ¼" this week to finish 4^th in the Pole Vault A section. The T-Birds also had three other New National Qualifying Marks (Demisha Roswell- 60M, Monique Grant- 400M and Britnie Dixon- 800M)

Up Next: February 8^th and 9^th at the UNM Don Kirby Elite in Albuquerque.
