Monique Grant is a National Athlete of the Week honoree after posting one of the best marks in the nation in the long jump this outdoor season at the NMJC Ross Black Open.

Grant recorded a best jump of 6.36m (20-10.5) which is good for the national lead along with making her the sixth-best performer of all-time in the event in NJCAA history. If that wasn't enough the mark was also the seventh-best recorded by any collegiate during outdoors this year.

She also ran a leg of the second-place 4×100 unit and took fifth at the meet in the 100.

Grant is the fourth athlete in program history to win the National Athlete of the Week award.
