Lady T-Birds remain at #1 in the Week 3 poll

This Week's National Top Five Still leading the way is New Mexico JC. The Thunderbirds have been in control since Week 1 and now have their largest point lead of the year. NMJC leads the nation in six events, led by Flomena Asekol in the 1000 meters and mile. Also at the top are Demisha Roswell (60 hurdles), Victoria Villanueva (pole vault), Susan Francis (long jump) and the school's distance medley relay team.

Iowa Central CC continues at No. 2. The Tritons have national leaders in the 3000 with Eleonora Curtabbi and the weight throw with Lea Grady.

Defending champion Barton (Kan.) CC follows at No. 3. The Cougars have three national leaders in Christal Mosley (400), Fiona Richards(shot put) and the 4 x 400 relay.

Remaining at No. 4 is South Plains. The Texas gained a notable national leader in Gladys Jemaiyo, the National Athlete of the Week after breaking her own NJCAA record in the 5000. She joins Rosemary Chukwuma (60) and Onaara Obamuwagun (triple jump) at the top of event lists.

Joining the top-5 for the first time this year is Cloud County (Kan.) CC. The T-Birds top the nation in the 200 (Mercy Ntia-Obong), pentathlon (Maryse Mbenoun) and the 4 x 800 relay.

Completing the top-10 are No. 6 Monroe-New Rochelle (N.Y.), No. 7 Iowa Western CC, No. 8 Butler (Kan.) CC, No. 9 Mesa (Ariz.) CC and No. 10 Cowley (Kan.).

The 2020 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are just three weeks away on March 6-7 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
