NMJC Duo of Teresha Jacobs and Esther Gitahi Win LCU Cross Country Relays

The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country Team opened up the 2017 season at the Lubbock Christian Relays. This event featured a unique relay style meet. Each participating school paired there runners, having the pair complete 6 miles, with each runner taking turns running 1.5 miles at separate times.

NMJC duo, Teresha Jacobs and Esther Gitahi won the relay by over 2 minutes with an outstanding time of 34:01 for the 6 miles. The other pair for the T-Birds to compete were Sharon Jerono and Cynthia Kipserem. They finished 5th in a time of 38:49.

NEXT UP: The T-Birds will head back to Lubbock on September 9th this time to compete in the Texas Tech Open
