T-Birds Finish 3rd at Home Meet
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country placed a disappointing 3rd Place at the NMJC Invitational. "It was not our day" commented Coach Jeff Becker. "All of our ladies looked sluggish". "We will get it figured out in the next few meets, the group has been working hard".
Individually the team was led Esther Gitahi. "Esther did not look good, but she got the win and a win is a win" added Becker. Only one other T-Bird managed a top 10 finish (Teresha Jacobs- 4th Place).
NEXT UP: The T-Birds will be back in action next week at the South Plains Invitational.
