Costes and Green Finish in Top 10 at South Plains
The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country team competed at the South Plains Invitational. The T-Birds managed some fantastic individual performances at the meet. "We again ran four ladies at the meet" commented Coach Becker. "All four competed very well. The times were not as fast as we were hoping, but the placings were great" added Becker.
As she has done all year, Dune Costes led the team with a strong 7th place finish. Also in the top 10 was Monifa Green. Montserret Rios bounced back after a subpar race last week to finish very well in 13th place. Alyssa Frausto continues her steady improvement finishing in 35th place. A total of 78 runners finished the race.
NEXT UP: The T-Birds will have a week off and then will compete October 19th here in Hobbs at the University of the Southwest Meet. The races will start at 5:00 PM.
