T-Birds Grab Top 3 Spots at USW Invitational

The NMJC Thunderbird Cross Country team competed well at the University of the Southwest Invitational.  The T-Birds grabbed the top three spots (Dune Costes- 1^st, Montserret Rios- 2^nd and Monifa Green- 3^rd) in the 5K race. Alyssa Frausto was not far behind finishing in 7^th place and getting her first top 10 finish of the year. "The ladies ran really well today" commented Coach Jeff Becker. "The times were a little slow, but I think the course may have been a little long" added Becker.

NEXT UP: The T-Birds will compete at the Region V Championships hosted by Ranger CC.
