Sophomore forward Bianca Juzzo finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals in the 93-49 win over the Cisco College Wranglers Thursday night.
The Thunderbirds started the first quarter slowly, leading by only six points 21-15. The T-Birds turned it on in the second quarter, opening up a 27-point lead 51-24 headed into the half.
Guard Madina Camara finished with 15 points and five assists on 7-of-9 shooting from the field.
Guard Delma Zita scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds, and finished with a season-high five steals.
Forward Sandra Magolico notched 14 points and three steals in the 44-point win over the Wranglers. Guard Sydney Hobbs tallied 13 points and a game-high seven rebounds off the bench for NMJC.
The Thunderbirds shot 41-for-75 (54.7%) from the field and were 7-of-17 (41.2%) from the three-point line. The T-Birds forced 25 turnovers.
The T-Birds improve to 8-1 on the year. NMJC will play Hill College Friday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. MDT in Hobbs, NM.
