Rodeo Travels to Vernon

The New Mexico Junior College men's and women's rodeo teams will compete in the third rodeo of the fall semester Sept. 28-30 at the Vernon College Rodeo in Vernon, Texas. The events will take place inside the Wilbarger Event Center.

The T-Birds are coming off a week where men's rodeo athlete Tyler Espenson scored 125 points in the tie-down roping event. Espenson placed second in the long round (8.1 seconds) and fourth in the short round (10.3 seconds) for an overall second place in the average.
