VISION STATEMENT The certified athletic trainer possesses knowledge in injury prevention, injury recognition, evaluation, and assessment; immediate care; and the treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries. The primary goal of the athletic training staff at New Mexico Junior College is to protect and return the injured student athlete to sport participation as quickly and safely as possible. Our main objective is to first help prevent athletic injuries from occurring. Recognizing that some injuries are inevitable, our staff is available to render first aid, provide follow-up treatment and rehabilitation, and counsel student-athletes and their parents on available treatment options. New Mexico Junior College strives to deliver current, scientifically sound care to each and every athlete regardless of his or her sport or personal team standing. |
