57 Former NMJC Student-Athletes Set to Attend 4-Year Schools
New Mexico Junior College is fortunate to be a stop on the journey of student-athletes looking to achieve their athletic and academic dreams.
NMJC is currently sending 57 student-athletes to the four-year level. The athletes come from all around the world representing 20 different countries. 31 athletes participated in women's sports with the remaining 26 teaming up for the men's side.
The countries represented are Brazil, Colombia, Turkey, the United States, France, Dominican Republic, Canada, Australia, Spain, Uganda, Angola, Cote d'Ivoire, Japan, Thailand, England, Bahamas, Barbados, Zimbabwe, Jamaican, and Mexico.
"The all-around talent produced by the New Mexico Junior College athletic department is simply a reflection of the institutional commitment to overall student success," NMJC Director of Athletics Deron Clark said. "The leadership put in place for our student-athletes provides the direction and guidance necessary to stay focused both in the classroom and in their respective competitions. The blend of this process and our high energy culture will continue to propel the success to continued heights of success. Congratulations to all who have achieved such high success as they depart NMJC!"
The calendar now turns over to a new athletic year July 1st as the T-Birds close the chapter on the 2024-25 NMJC athletic season.
