TYLER COX SIGNS WITH THUNDERBIRDS

Hobbs, NM native Tyler Cox committed to play golf for the Thunderbirds next season under coach James Berry.  Cox is a decorated high school and amateur golfer looking to build off his recent success.  As a Hobbs High junior, Cox finished 1st at the District Championship and 2nd at the New Mexico State Championship, earning him All-District and All-State honors.  Tyler continued his solid play during the summer qualifying for the Junior America's Cup team and finishing 3rd at the Junior AM Qualifier.  On his decision to play golf for the Thunderbirds, "I'm looking forward to spending the next two years playing golf for NMJC!"

Hobbs High golf Coach Victor Rotunno had the following to say about Tyler, "Tyler has been a tremendous student athlete for the Hobbs High golf team.  His work ethic is second to none and his passion to make his team better is truly a great asset.  Choosing NMJC and Coach James Berry will only make his game that much better".
