NMJC women's basketball won a road contest against Wayland Baptist (JV) 76-51 Monday evening.
The T-Birds opened up a 15-point lead at the half 40-25.
Forward Sandra Magolico scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-14 from the field going 2-2 from the three-point line. The sophomore added eight rebounds and three steals in the win.
Sophomore forward Bianca Juzzo finished with 14 points, four steals, and three blocks. Sophomore forward Danna Grenald notched her first double-double of the year with 13 points and 16 rebounds on the afternoon.
The Thunderbirds shot 32-of-72 (44.4%) from the field but struggled from the three-point line going 4-for-15 (26.7%). The T-Birds forced 26 turnovers in the win over the Pioneers.
The T-Birds move to 4-0 on the year. NMJC will play McCook Friday, Nov. 18 at p.m. MDT in Hobbs, NM.
